Symbol shortcuts

For typing symbols from your keyboard:

• On Windows, you should type the decimal representation (in the Win column in the table) while holding down the Alt key.
• On Mac, you can hold the Option key then type the keys shown in the table.
• On some Linux systems, you can get Unicode symbols by typing Ctrl + Shift + u then the Unicode number, e.g. 2014 (for the em-dash).
